Synopsis

Trois ans après les événements de Crest of the Stars, la guerre entre l'Empire Abh et l'Humanité divise encore la galaxie. Alors que Jinto achève sa formation d'officier, Lafiel se voit confié le commandement du Basroil, un croiseur de combat d'une nouvelle classe. Les deux jeunes gens se retrouvent pour rejoindre une vaste flotte Abh dont la mission est de défendre la très hautement stratégique Porte d'Aptic contre un ennemi quinze fois plus nombreux. Et pour couronner le tout, leur commandant en chef se trouve faire partie de la famille Bebous, tristement fameuse pour sa "folie spectaculaire" et ses tactiques plus dangereuses pour ses propres soldats que pour l'ennemi...
